History of Artificial Intelligence

The term artificial intelligence was coined in 1956 at a conference at Dartmouth College. Early AI research focused on symbolic reasoning and rule-based systems before shifting toward statistical and neural approaches decades later. Today’s AI boom builds on ideas explored as far back as the 1940s.
